This looks the Central Valley turnout with PC boar throw bar:
But I changed it with a PROTO:87 throw bar. |
At first I drilled holes for the frets. I enlarged the holes at the top. With a usual piece of rail this is more easy. At first I removed the point rails.
I inserted a wooden tie and glued on PROTO:87 tie plates.
Then I painted the wooden tie.
... and installed the point rails again. Then I prepared
the PROTO:87 throw bar.
I modified it a little bit. This way you hold down the
points.
The next steps are like the PROTO:87 instruction. I've
glued some ballast and painted the top of the frets black.
