All turnouts are wired and tested.
The actuation rod, I've soldered a brass U-profile to a brass rod.
In the foreground code 55, background (with cars) code 40.
So far, the four segments are wired. But there still some track missing. Therefore I've handlaid some track.
I want a derail. Here's a first set up with a cast iron derail.
This derail will not fit. It protudes too high and collides with the coupler.
But at first the other tracks. There should be decrepit tracks. I've got the idea at Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine. I've sanded the cork road bed to get some depressions.

The first test train was run. And now, ballast to the tracks!
Now I've assembled all four segments and run some trains. This was the test, and all four segments operated without problems.
I'm busy with scenery and the turntable (Sequoia # 135-4008 Laws Turntable ). I have still to cut the pit.
